Vanessa Fowles

A graduate of the University of Queensland, Vanessa has 20 plus years of broad and in-depth experience which is being continually expanded by ongoing education as part of her commitment to excellence.

Vanessa had the privilege of working in the highly-acclaimed RHP practice in Brisbane, whose clientele included teams such as the Brisbane Broncos, Brisbane Bullets, Olympic swimmers and many others. The mentoring received there by some of the best sports and musculoskeletal physiotherapists in Australia today provided a strong foundation of skills upon which Vanessa continues to build. The ongoing close association with these physios is another way mbfb physio clientele have access directly or indirectly to some of the best up-to-date skills and networks of providers.

Since leaving Brisbane, Vanessa has practised in many rural locations in different capacities including public hospitals and aged care facilities. Her own private practice began in 2003 in Theodore. Whilst there, she also designed a workplace injury-prevention program: the 'Move better feel better' program which was implemented with great success in some underground mines in Queensland and Western Australia for companies such as Roche Mining/Downer Edi Mining and Macmahon Mining. The program earned the Cracow site Roche Mining's Best Safety Innovation Award in 2006.

While enjoying all aspects of practice, Vanessa's special interest areas are musculoskeletal, sports and occupational health. Recently started, but being enthusiastically pursued with strong interest and good results is visceral therapy/manipulation.

At MBFB we target and treat a myriad of conditions, including but not limited to neck pain, back pain, shoulder pain, leg pain, pelvic pain...
